I move up on some exercises some the weight is heavy enough because
the 10 sec rest only allows me enough recovery to do that weight for
the same or less reps. So it's important to be honest with yourself on
the weights.

Working out this way let's me do the same routine for a long time but
still make progress. Whereas others who are not honest with their
weights will "plateau"

Plateaus may or may not exist. Think about it... If you reach deep
deep down grit your teeth turn up the volume and rage out you will
ALWAYS do better.

Aaron
These are two of the reasons I cut peanuts and peanut products out of
my diet. I replaced them with walnuts, the reasons for that is another
post topic coming soon.

Its sad too because I LOVE peanut butter and pretty much every other
form of them! But I do notice the Benefits of removing them. I'll go
into detail later.... Bedtime!

Aaron
That 10lbs of whey I got turned out to be awesome,
and got me thinking about recipes for it! So far 1 and 3/4 scoops of
whey plus about 1/2 cup of crushed ice and 2-3 oz of water turn out a
perfect dessert! Once I refine the portions and get faster at making
it ill post a tutorial for you :)

Aaron
Stepped out of the gym for cardio this morning. A friend took me to
Runyon Canyon, which is in the Hollywood hills. Very beautiful and
peaceful place, I would definitely recommend visiting there, its also
dog friendly so you can bring your four legged friend as well.

My friend had been there once before and we always make things
difficult for eachother when we workout, today was no different! After
arriving at the base of the hill, I see the roughly paved path, and to
the left an exposed nearly vertical stripe of dirt and rock that water
from the rains had worn into the side of the hill... I entertained
thoughts of trying to climb that part with no intention of even
trying, it was SO steep, I only had my old worn out running shoes, and
I hadn't done any climbing in years! But what does my friend say? "We
start here! You ready?!" I looked for signs of a joke... He wasn't
kidding! I don't back down though, so up we went, my heart was pumping
so hard I wondered if anyone could hear it. I wasn't sure if I would
be able to find footing to climb higher, if it would be stable when I
found it, or if I could keep from tumbling down the 50 or 60 foot
rocky face of the hill! About 30 feet into the climb my heart began to
thunder from the sheer effort required to climb the probably 70
deegree face and the adrenaline rush that I got.

We conquered the first part and were congratulated by a guy who
said he used to start that way when he was younger. After that we
walked the flat spots and jogged the steep parts, climbing the run off
parts when we came across them. It took around 30 mins to get to the
top. Which was really amazing actually. The view let's you see for
miles and miles over a few LA cities skylines. I'll go back with a
camera. Also at the top was a "Defaced Oscar" you know the Oscar
statue of the gold man with the sword? Someone is mysteriously placing
tore up gory 7ft statues around LA and one popped up at the peak last
night apparently. We had a passerby take a pic of us with it and I'll
post it when I recieve a copy. Besides the mysterious statue was a
small wooden prayer box. It had a little sign that said: "take one,
give one" so we both wrote one and I took one that said: "God thank
you for another day of life, heal my body." Somewhat sad but at the
same time encouraging to me because he had obviously made it to the
top and was thankful for life and keeping active! We should never take
life for granted. We took the steep and rough trail down the side of
the hill. Very challenging and a shock to my legs because it was so
radically different from anything I have done in years! I felt like a
kid again climbing and hopping over rocks and slipping and sliding
down dirt paths. Overall a very good morning!

Aaron
Sorry, but its actually not that hard to eat right on the go.

It only takes forethought and changing the way you think about eating. Planning ahead will PUT YOU AHEAD, it only makes sense to apply this to your eating. If you want to make changes in your life, you will have to start placing food at or near the top of your daily priorities until it becomes part of your life.

What are you going to eat for breakfast tomorrow? Many of you dont know, or maybe you just got a nice big box of Frosted Flakes and cant wait to chow down on them, maybe add a little sugar on top too! How about the meal after that? After that? By now, your average person has no idea what they will be eating unless they have lunch or dinner plans with somone. Its all too easy to just float through your day without planning meals because we can get food, any style or size, almost anytime. Thats the way of the 21st century, we have it all... except for cost effective healthy meals.

So today im going to show you an easy example of something you can do. Its only 4 Low Cal Meals with a cost of about $8 total. The meals are: 3 Cans of No salt added wild alaskan pink salmon, 2 servings of raisins, 3 Servings of nuts, 1 serving of whey, Fish oil caps for every meal. I place more value on nutrition than variety and have gotten used to eating the same things day in day out. If you cant do this, the only thing limiting your choices are money and imagination.

Plan ahead, these items are basically non perishable. I can toss this bag in my truck or under a seat in my car for emergency eating or just for the next day. It guarantees your diet is on track and you save time and money.
